Landon Wright and Noah Magee did most of the damage at the plate: Wright went 1-for-2 with five RBI, one triple, and one run, while Magee went 1-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Wright a new career-high. Hayden Avants was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, North Forrest had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Rebels. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.
Chancellor Rogers made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Rogers was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Landon Hayes was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Hall, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
North Forrest's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Bogue Chitto, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bogue Chitto has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454. However, it's not like North Forrest struggles in that department as they've averaged .488. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
