Softball Recap: Hawkins Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against George Washington Prep, Hawkins was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Crenshaw Cougars 25-17. The Hawks not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024.

Hawkins' win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Crenshaw, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Hawkins and Dymally will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Crenshaw, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on George Washington Prep at 3:00 p.m. on the 21st. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Generals have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
