The Northview Knights will square off against the Bloomington South Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Northview played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against Cloverdale by a score of 6-3. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Clovers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Brayden Kreiger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dominic Barnhart, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Quinn Lewis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bloomington South). They came out on top in a nail-biter against Terre Haute South Vigo on Tuesday, sneaking past 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Bloomington South also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Collin Marcum gave up four runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Connor Osborne was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Bloomington South is 2-1 when Osborne posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Luke Arnett, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
Northview's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Bloomington South, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Northview came out on top in a nail-biter against Bloomington South when the teams last played back in May of 2018, sneaking past 6-5. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
