On Wednesday, Fenton lost to Durand at home by a decisive 55-41 margin.
Meanwhile, Linden scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Brandon 64-47. Given Linden's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Brandon is ranked 471st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fenton's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for Linden, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Fenton suffered a grim 50-27 defeat to Linden in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Fenton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
