Yukon had lost three straight headed into Thursday's   game, but  Wyatt Jones didn't let it get to four. The Millers came out on top against the Norman North Timberwolves by a score of  48-40  on Thursday for which the team can thank  Jones, who rushed for 218 yards and three  scores while picking up 12.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 218 yards and one  TD while completing 80% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Yukon's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise.
 Despite the  loss, Norman North saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Nash Henry threw for 348 yards and five  touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Those five  passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for  Henry.  Byron Mason helped  Henry out on the ground, rushing for 101 yards, while also picking up 100 receiving yards.
The  victory  got Yukon back to even at 4-4. As for Norman North,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-4.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Yukon will  square off against  rival Edmond Santa Fe  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Norman North is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Owasso  at 7:30  p.m.  on  the 31st. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 916 yards in their previous games.
