It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Potosi ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Central 70-68.
Meanwhile, South Iron stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Lesterville 73-33 at home. Given South Iron's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Lesterville is ranked 516th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Potosi has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for South Iron, their win bumped their record up to 22-1.
Potosi didn't have too much breathing room in their match against South Iron in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 73-69 victory.
