After a string of eight wins, The Thomas Jefferson Spartans''s good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a hard 21-6 fall against Ponderosa. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, Thomas Jefferson couldn't push the score so high this time.
Thomas Jefferson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Doren Sacha, who picked up 126 receiving yards and a touchdown. Sacha's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Even if they lost, Thomas Jefferson's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Keyshaun Ceaser and his two sacks.
Sean Davis had a dynamite game for Ponderosa, rushing for 201 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Davis is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
