Softball Recap: Poultney Has No Trouble Against Windsor

Poultney had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-3 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Windsor Yellowjackets with a sharp 17-8 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Blue Devils' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

As for Windsor, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games.

For Windsor's part, Hailey Pascarelli made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Coming up, Poultney will face off against White River Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Windsor, they will square off against Thetford Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
