The Lake Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 62-47 fall against Clarkdale. Lake was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Clarkdale apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2018.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clarkdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Connor Mcdill, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Mcdill has scored at least 25% of Clarkdale's points. Ladonya Adams was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Lake has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Clarkdale, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7.
Lake will face off against McLaurin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarkdale, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Enterprise at 7:30 p.m. Enterprise is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
