The Triton Hawks waltzed into their game  Friday with four straight wins  but they left with five. They snuck past Overhills with a  51-47 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Triton also won the last time the pair played  back in November.
  Ja'Niah  Smith continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  scoring 22 points. The  contest was  her fifth in a row with at least ten points.  Neveah Hawley was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points.
 Triton's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Overhills, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
 Triton is on the road again  on Tuesday and play against Southern Nash at 6:00  p.m.  on January 2, 2024. That game will pit two of the most dominant  players against one another:  Deana Artis and  Nashara McNeil-Watlington. Overhills and Western Harnett will face off  at 6:00  p.m.  on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Western Harnett is coming into the  game on a four-game losing streak.
