Niwot has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Skyline Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-39, which was the final score in Niwot's tilt against the Silver Knights on Tuesday. Niwot has struggled against the Silver Knights recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Skyline entered their tilt with the Ravens with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Skyline walked away with a 57-47 victory over the Ravens on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Skyline's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Ravens are ranked 31st).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Skyline to victory, but perhaps none more so than Talan Starcevich, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Starcevich is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Rahman Carson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Niwot's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Skyline, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.
Niwot came up short against the Falcons in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 44-34. Can Niwot avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
