The Swain County Maroon Devils came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Andrews by a score of 54-46. That's another feather in the cap for Swain County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Andrews still got an impressive performance from Cameron Rattler, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. Jailen Powell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Swain County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Andrews, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-3.
