If the Indian Trail Hawks were feeling good off their 61-35 takedown of the Racine Horlick Rebels last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Indian Trail took a hard 58-44 fall against the Rockets on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Indian Trail can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Rockets are ranked 39th).
When it comes to explaining why Indian Trail lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mj Stackhouse. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Stackhouse hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Bolton, who scored nine points.
Indian Trail's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Neenah, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Trail will take on the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenosha Bradford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully the Hawks like a good challenge. As for Neenah, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Polar Bears at 7:30 p.m.
