Ash Fork took a 30-point loss the last time they faced off against BASIS Flagstaff, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Spartans skirted past the Yetis 25-23. The win was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on four straight.

Brian Purser was Ash Fork's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Victor Ayala held things down on the boards with ten rebounds. He took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

When it comes to explaining why BASIS Flagstaff lost on Thursday, don't look at Alexei Barrow. Despite the final result, he shot 45% from the field on his way to 12 points. Barrow is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Iori Cruz was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Ash Fork's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for BASIS Flagstaff, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
