Two dominant in Lucas Garcia and Terrance Evans are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Sargent Farmers and the Cotopaxi Pirates will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Sargent ended up a good deal behind Crested Butte and lost 62-47. Sargent has struggled against Crested Butte recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Hayden Lester, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Garcia, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Cotopaxi's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. The matchup between Cotopaxi and Monte Vista wasn't particularly close, with Cotopaxi falling 55-37.
Sargent's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Cotopaxi, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
Sargent ended up a good deal behind Cotopaxi in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, losing 50-34. Thankfully for Sargent, Ty Coleman (who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and five assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
