The Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars won against the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats last Saturday with 58 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Middle Tennessee Christian walked away with a 58-49 victory over Battle Ground Academy. The win was nothing new for Middle Tennessee Christian as they're now sitting on three straight.
Middle Tennessee Christian found their leader in underclassman Anna clay Shirley, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Shirley is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Ashley Rucker was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Battle Ground Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dj Haws. Despite the final result, she scored 30 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Haws has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Abby Mclay, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Middle Tennessee Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Battle Ground Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.
Middle Tennessee Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Battle Ground Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
