On Saturday, Legacy School of Sport Sciences opened the new year with a less-than-successful 49-36 loss to San Jose Prep. While losing is never fun, Legacy School of Sport Sciences can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 372nd in Texas, while San Jose Prep is ranked 75th in Florida).
Legacy School of Sport Sciences lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Simran Williams, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brittney Anderson, who scored seven points.
Legacy School of Sport Sciences' defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for San Jose Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Legacy School of Sport Sciences' road trip will continue as they head out to face Life Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for San Jose Prep, they will square off against Lee at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lee has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
