The Fort Meade Miners can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They breezed by Oasis Christian at home to the tune of 59-28. 59 seems to be a good number for Fort Meade as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
It was another big night for Ryan Screen, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. He also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Nasier Berrien, who scored 13 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Fort Meade, bringing their record for this year to 16-6. As for Oasis Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Meade will challenge DeSoto County at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oasis Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hardee at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Hardee is on a three-game streak of home losses, Oasis Christian a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
