Ramona's Nathan Cherek recorded the longest rushing play in Palomar this season in his game against Grossmont last week. Cherek ran for 82 yards on the play and finished with 252 on the day as his team defeated the Foothillers.
Ramona scaled the state rankings by moving to 42 from 86 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Damon Baldwin's team climbed the ranks as a result of beating Grossmont 52-22.
Rancho Bernardo's dynamic duo of Michael Searson and Kameron Kalhoun proved to be unstoppable against Mt. Carmel, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Searson threw for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns and Kalhoun had 72 yards receiving. Jimmy Byron helped Rancho Bernardo's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 69 yards.
The Broncos' dynamic duo of Searson and Kalhoun proved tough for the Sundevils to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Searson put up the best numbers through the air as Rancho Bernardo fell to Mt. Carmel.
Cherek was a beast in the backfield as the Bulldogs topped Tom Karlo's team.
Cherek was the best running back in the league this week. Brandon Gansch also contributed to the rushing game with 75 yards on the ground.
Cherek was a passing and rushing force as Ramona bested the Foothillers. Cherek's key target this week was Garrett Binkley, who caught 3 passes for 75 yards.
Kalhoun was the best wideout in Palomar this week as Tristan McCoy's team fell to John Anderson's team.
The Broncos' Searson and Byron have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Searson has thrown for 534 yards this season, while Byron has 14 catches for 153 yards. The Bulldogs' Cherek leads the league in rushing yards with 419.
Poway fell to San Pasqual 45-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
