The Limon Badgers can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 46-14 win over Elbert. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-9.
Jentri Marx was her usual excellent self, scoring seven points along with seven steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Enyceia Frescas, who scored nine points along with two steals.
The victory was the fifth in a row for Limon, bringing their record for this year to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Elbert, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Limon will take on Evangel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Evangel Christian Academy is ranked 84th, while Limon is ranked 79th). As for Elbert, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Deer Trail at 4:30 p.m. on January 18th. Deer Trail is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
