The Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Heritage. While losing is never fun, Lebanon Trail can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 899th, while the Coyotes are ranked 344th).
Heritage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jadyn Middleton, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Taliah Odneal was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Lebanon Trail's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-25. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.0 points per game. As for Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-16 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lebanon Trail will square off against the Titans at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage, they will head out on the road to challenge the Wildcats at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
