The Middleton Vikings came tearing into Saturday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Eagle as Middleton made off with a 57-37 victory. Middleton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Middleton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zoey Blackwell, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Blackwell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Laci Eagy, who scored six points along with two steals.
Middleton pushed their record up to 15-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Eagle, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
Middleton will be playing at home against Capital at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Capital has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Eagle, they will head out on the road to face off against Kuna at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
