Football Recap: Llano Skates Past Marble Falls with Ease

Llano had won five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 3-0 to make it six. They really took it to the Marble Falls Mustangs for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-18 win. The Yellowjackets pushed the score to 43-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mustangs cut but never quite recovered from.

A big part of Llano's victory came down to the chemistry between Luke Davis and his top target Cash Lynch. Davis threw for 359 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes while Lynch picked up 212 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Lynch's longest reception was for an incredible 76 yards. Jose Sillas made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Llano didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Marble Falls to a completion percentage of just 32.3%. The team can thank Emerson Pool for the heroic effort on defense: he. Llano hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.56 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Llano didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Austin Humphries and Sillas. Sillas got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

As for Marble Falls, they now have a losing record of 1-2. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 831st, while Llano is ranked 235th).

Kaden Langbein and Doak Timmerman certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Langbein picked up 89 receiving yards and one score, while Timmerman rushed for 44 yards and one touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Llano will take on Jarrell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marble Falls, they will square off against Brackenridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
