 Meanwhile, Triway had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the Wildcats.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-27,  25-22.
 Smithville's win was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Triway, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
