Millikan put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Friday. They never let the Lakewood Lancers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Rams have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Millikan got a great performance from Owen Waytas as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Waytas has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ben Keisler, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those five hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Perez, who went 3-for-6 with two triples and two runs.

Millikan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Millikan's record now sits at 9-4. As for Lakewood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millikan will square off against Warren at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Warren's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Millikan's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lakewood, they will take on Mira Costa at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mira Costa will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Lakewood surely won't give up without a fight.
