FISHERS, Ind. - Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, Ind.) came into Saturday's contest ranked No. 18 in Indiana, but was stunned by
Fishers (Ind.), 42-7. Fishers was ranked at No. 26 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Indiana coming into the week.
Fishers was up 21-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Connor Christiansen in the first quarter.
FHS expanded its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. Fishers scored two times in the third, including once on a
Maurice Campbell touchdown run.
The loss snapped the Royals' 7-game winning streak.
Phoenix Badua made a difference for Hamilton Southeastern. The junior running back ran for one touchdown. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
Christiansen was the top performer for FHS. The junior quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
HS's lone touchdown came on a 38-yard run by Badua in the fourth quarter.
Fishers had given up an average of 16.0 points prior to the contest. The Royals' seven points were well below their season average of 38.4 per game.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which Hamilton Southeastern took, 28-7.
The loss comes after Hamilton Southeastern defeated Jefferson 41-13 last week.
