It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Blanco Panthers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 34-0 victory over the Tigers. Considering Blanco has won nine games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Cameron Anderson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 106 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trevin Young, who picked up 61 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The victory was the seventh in a row for Blanco, bringing their record for this year to 11-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.7 points per game. As for Goliad, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.
Blanco will face off against Edna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edna is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Goliad does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
