The Evergreen Cougars can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They breezed by Alameda on the road to the tune of 50-13. That 37 points margin sets a new team best for Evergreen this season.
Leading Evergreen to victory were Taylor Bailey and Ryn Gardner. Bailey scored 12 points along with three steals, while Gardner scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gardner has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Buenning, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and five assists.
Evergreen's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Alameda, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Evergreen will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dakota Ridge at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Dakota Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Wednesday. As for Alameda, they will head out on the road to challenge Golden at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Golden presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Alameda in Colorado (Golden is ranked 137th, while Alameda is ranked 300th).
