Noble-Whitley Warriors pushed their score all the way to 63 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 77-63 bruising from Capital HomeSchool. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (56), Noble-Whitley Warriors still had to take the loss.
Noble-Whitley Warriors' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colt Kirkpatrick, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The game was Kirkpatrick's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caidyn Berna, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Noble-Whitley Warriors has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Capital HomeSchool, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.
Noble-Whitley Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers at 1:40 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece. As for Capital HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to face off against Mishawaka HomeSchool W at 1:40 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Mishawaka HomeSchool W focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
