After flying high against River Oaks  last Thursday, Tallulah Academy came back down to earth. The Trojans fell just short of the Wilkinson County Christian Academy Rams by a score of  3-1 on Tuesday. The Trojans were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.
 Luke Moberley was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. Moberley was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI.
 Moberley wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Tripp Gayle, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base.  Kennedy Collins also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
Tallulah Academy's loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wilkinson County Christian Academy, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record  this season.
While Tallulah Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
