Wellington claimed a resounding 60-16 victory over the Cobras on the road. That looming 60-16 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Wellington yet this season.
Wellington's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jessilyn Vera, who scored nine points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Erianna Perez, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Wellington pushed their record up to 11-11 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Park Vista, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
Wellington will square off against the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Santaluces is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Park Vista, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. North Broward Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Cobras in Florida (the Eagles are ranked 113th, while the Cobras are ranked 257th).
