Mercyhurst Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last five games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Titusville Rockets on Friday. Mercyhurst Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7  runs per game  this season.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Mercyhurst Prep gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand North East  a   7-0 shutout.
 Mercyhurst Prep got a great performance from  Hunter Krahe as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out seven over 6.1 innings pitched. Krahe has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Josh Majczyk was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tanner Ashton, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base.
 Meanwhile, Titusville waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with  a   4-0  win over the Oilers.
  Jaxon Covell was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Covell was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-5 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 Covell wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Brett Schmidt, who  went 3-for-5 with a  double.
 Mercyhurst Prep is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record  this season. As for Titusville, their record is now 8-11.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Mercyhurst Prep has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 9  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Titusville struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 6.6. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Mercyhurst Prep beat Titusville 7-4  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2022. Does  Mercyhurst Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Titusville turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
