It was a good run, but the Veterans Warhawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Warner Robins, falling 130-100. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (97), Veterans still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Veterans still got an impressive performance from Chandler Thomas, who scored 30 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Thomas scored a full 30% of Veterans' points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Aiden Sweenor was another key contributor, scoring 23 points.
Veterans' loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Warner Robins, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Veterans will take on Tift County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tift County will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Warner Robins, they will head out on the road to face off against Ola at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ola will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 398th, while Warner Robins is ranked 117th).
