Camden Hills hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Belfast strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Oceanside get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Lions have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jordyn MacKay was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Kaitlyn Ryan was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Katience Parenteau, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Camden Hills has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Belfast struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Camden Hills came out on top in a nail-biter against Belfast in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Windjammers repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
