The Williams Vikings entered their tilt with the Ash Fork Spartans with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Williams simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Spartans 57-30 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Williams, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Williams had a senior duo take command as Braydyn Larimore scored 17 points along with four steals and Kai Mortensen scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Larimore has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Liliana Vazquez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Ash Fork struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Williams racked up 16 assists.
Williams is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for Ash Fork, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-20 record this season.
Williams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Rock Point's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. Ash Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
