Rosemont hasn't had much luck against Bradshaw Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolverines will welcome the Pride at 4:00 p.m.
Rosemont is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Thursday. They lost 10-2 to Argonaut.
Rosemont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Terry, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Kylan English was another, going 2-for-4 with two runs.
Meanwhile, Bradshaw Christian entered their tilt with Argonaut on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They didn't even let the Mustangs on the board, marking their second-straight 10-0 shutout. Give the Pride's pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Bradshaw Christian also got a great performance from Ethan Quach as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Quach has posted since April 4th.
At the plate, Brandon Burden was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jake Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Bradshaw Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive matches.
Bradshaw Christian pushed their record up to 21-2 with the win, which was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Rosemont, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-17-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rosemont has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bradshaw Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rosemont suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Bradshaw Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
