Two dominant  signal callers in  Youngmin Lee and  Ronan Rasmussen are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Mercer Island Islanders will take on the Highline Pirates at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Mercer Island is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
 Mercer Island is headed into the  game after thoroughly thrashing Redmond: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Mercer Island blew Redmond out of the water with  a  56-3 final score. Considering the Islanders have won six matchups by more than 20  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 It was another big night for  Lee, who threw for 402 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.5% of his passes. He is  on a roll when it comes to  passing touchdowns, as he's  now  passed for three or more in the last four games he's  played.  Kainoa Brown also helped with two touchdowns in total.
 Mercer Island didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Ryder Davis and  Hudson Sulla. Davis also set a new season high mark in  receiving yards with 145. Another thorn in Redmond's side was  Jack Buchan, who made nine total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended three passes.
 Meanwhile,  a  victory for Highline just wasn't in the cards  on Friday as the  squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were beaten by Liberty 49-20. The Pirates have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Rasmussen put forth a good effort for the losing side as  he threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.4% of his passes.
 Mercer Island's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Highline, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
 Keep an eye on the quarterbacks in this one, as  both  don't mess around when it comes to the passing game. Mercer Island has been excellent in the air this season,  having  averaged 284.3  passing yards per game. However, it's not like Highline struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 288.5. It's looking like  Saturday's  match might be a classic QB duel.
 Mercer Island didn't have too much breathing room in their  contest against Highline  when the teams last played  back in September of 2021, but they still walked away with  a  27-21 victory.
