Baseball Recap: Raymondville Takes a Loss

If Raymondville was feeling good fresh off their 13-3 takedown of La Villa last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raymondville Bearkats wound up with the same score they had in their last game (13-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost seven in a row.

Raymondville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Sosa, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Sosa a new career-high in stolen bases. Justin Rodriguez was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Raymondville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hidalgo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.
