The Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 38-22 victory over Chrisman. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2019.
Claire Seal was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond's points. Lindsay Rohacs was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. As for Chrisman, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Chrisman will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Watseka at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Watseka's defense has only allowed 27.1 points per game this season, so Chrisman's offense will have their work cut out for Chrisman.
