The Grasso Tech Eagles will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Vinal RVT Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Grasso Tech pushed their score all the way to 74 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 83-74 hit to the loss column at the hands of Goodwin Tech. Grasso Tech has not had much luck with Goodwin Tech recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Nick Stavesky, who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Charis Johnson, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Vinal RVT, who are still winless after their ninth game. They were dealt a 80-28 defeat at the hands of Lewis Mills on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Vinal RVT has scored all season.
Grasso Tech now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Vinal RVT, they bumped their record down to 0-9 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight at home.
Grasso Tech came out on top in a nail-biter against Vinal RVT in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, sneaking past 52-49. Does Grasso Tech have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vinal RVT turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
