In what's become a running theme this season, the Imagine School at North Port Sharks gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Saint Stephen's Episcopal 75-51. The victory was familiar territory for Imagine School at North Port who now have three in a row.
Angelo Blas was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Kirkus, who scored 11 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Saint Stephen's Episcopal lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cade Walters, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Walters hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Baugher, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Even though they lost, Saint Stephen's Episcopal smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Imagine School at North Port only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.
Imagine School at North Port pushed their record up to 9-12 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 88.0 points per game. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
Imagine School at North Port will challenge Parrish Community at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bradenton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bradenton Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Saint Stephen's Episcopal likes a good challenge.
