South Central has gone a perfect 10-0 against Kouts recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Satellites will host the Mustangs & Fillies at 4:30 p.m. South Central has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
South Central is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 21 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Culver Academies on Tuesday. They lost 13-1 to the Eagles.

South Central got a good showing from Brody Grass, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Grass has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
Kouts' found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Jimtown on Thursday. The Mustangs & Fillies never let River Forest get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Mustangs & Fillies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by nine runs or more this season.
Owen Garavalia tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Billy Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Ben Finney was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Kouts always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as River Forest only posted an OBP of .238.
Kouts' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for South Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
South Central took their victory against Kouts when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-1 score. Will the Satellites repeat their success, or do the Mustangs & Fillies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
