On Thursday, Maclay made easy work of Wewahitchka and carried off a 47-21 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Maclay.
Maclay was led to victory by Zoie Horton and Lauren Guyer. Horton scored 14 points, while Guyer scored 17 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Guyer has scored at least 25% of Maclay's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Russo, who scored 6 points.
Maclay's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Wewahitchka, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Maclay will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Altha at 4:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Wewahitchka, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Aucilla Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Aucilla Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
