The Souhegan Sabers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Stark Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Hampshire (Souhegan is ranked 17th, while Stark is ranked 29th).
Souhegan unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak last Friday. They took a hard 40-21 fall against Pelham.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brody Smith, who picked up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jayden (JJ) Bright, who gained 155 total yards.
Meanwhile, Stark strolled past Burlington/South Burlington with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 30-16.
Souhegan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Stark, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Souhegan against Stark in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 35-6 victory. Will Souhegan repeat their success, or does Stark have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
