The Paradise Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the South Hills Scorpions at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. South Hills took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Paradise, who comes in off a win.
Last Monday, Paradise made easy work of Lindsay and carried off a 17-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
McKenna Snyder made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Snyder was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Gabriella Handley looked comfortable as she pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she also racked up five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Mackenzie Thompson, who scored two runs and stole one base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Karli Pierson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Paradise always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, South Hills was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 12-1 to Creekview. The game marked the Scorpions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
South Hills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kait Lopez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
South Hills now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Paradise, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Paradise has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like South Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
