Basketball Recap: First Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

First Baptist Academy lost against Cornerstone Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The contest between the First Baptist Academy Eagles and the Cornerstone Christian Lions didn't end well, with the First Baptist Academy Eagles falling 41-25.

Cornerstone Christian found their leader in freshman Lorelei Bryant, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten steals. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which Bryant has scored at least a third of Cornerstone Christian's points.

First Baptist Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Cornerstone Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

First Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cornerstone Christian, they have already played their next game, a 43-41 victory against Austin Classical on the 10th.
