The Oak Mountain Academy Warriors had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.8 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They took down LaGrange Academy 53-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Oak Mountain Academy also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Oak Mountain Academy was led to victory by Brandon Bain and Jeb Harper. Bain dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Harper dropped a double-double on 15 points and 19 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Harper scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Bartlett, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Oak Mountain Academy's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for LaGrange Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Mountain Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Central Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. LaGrange Academy will take on Mill Springs Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mill Springs Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
