Eads put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Granada Bobcats with a sharp 14-1 win. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.
Adyn Hough was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Johnathan Vasquez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Stockton Mitchek, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Eads pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Granada, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Eads will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
