The DSST: Montview Knights pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 77-58 fall against Colorado Academy. DSST: Montview was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Colorado Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Jason Bratis was the offensive standout of the matchup as he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was George Buyers, who scored 17 points.
DSST: Montview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Colorado Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DSST: Montview will face off against James Irwin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully James Irwin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday. As for Colorado Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against D'Evelyn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
