The Stanton County Trojans won the last time they faced the Cheyenne Wells Tigers, and things went their way on Saturday too. Stanton County came out on top against Cheyenne Wells by a score of 48-37.
Stanton County was led to victory by Hallie Waldron and Avery Scott. Waldron scored 17 points, while Scott dropped a double-double on 24 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was Scott's third in a row with at least ten points.
The win got Stanton County back to even at 2-2. As for Cheyenne Wells, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stanton County will challenge Ulysses at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Ulysses comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Cheyenne Wells is on the road again on Friday and play against Idalia at 2:00 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Idalia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
